Episode #686 of Kill Tony brought the house down at the Comedy Mothership, with the Skankfest crew—Big Jay Oakerson, Luis J. Gomez, and Dave Smith—joining Tony Hinchcliffe and Brian Redban on stage. With an all-star panel, regular performers, and a series of memorable bucket pulls, the night was filled with laughs, surprises, and a few cringe-worthy moments. Here’s a breakdown of the highlights: Golden Ticket Winner Martin Phillips Sets the Tone Golden Ticket winner Martin Phillips opened the show with a hilariously well-received minute that had the crowd roaring. His interview kept the energy high, setting a strong start for the night and demonstrating why he earned his ticket to the Mothership stage. The Bucket Pulls: A Mixed Bag of Comedy and Chaos Will Eck was the first bucket pull and made his debut performance. While his comedy struggled, his candidness in the interview led to an entertaining segment where Tony gave him tickets to a Spurs game. A beautiful audience member, Riley, even came on stage to give him a kiss, sending him off with a big joke book as a consolation prize. Luke Stam followed with a risky yet hilarious minute centered around the “n-word,” managing to pull it off without losing the crowd. His interview was wild, revealing some personal stories that had the audience both cringing and laughing. Carly Anderson delivered a fun minute and an even better interview, where her honesty shone through. She proved that a straightforward, no-holds-barred approach is often the best route to an engaging interview on Kill Tony. Kam Patterson, one of the regulars, admitted to having a lackluster performance. While his set may have fallen short, he kept the interview lively, proving once again that his charisma shines through even on an off night. Ya Boi Cheech had what can only be described as an on-stage meltdown, which led to boos from the audience. His painful interview was reminiscent of pulling teeth, making it one of the more uncomfortable moments of the night. Sellina Ubious brought a strong stage presence, delivering a top-notch minute that captivated the audience. Her interview showed off her comedic prowess and ease with riffing alongside the pros. For only six months of experience, she proved herself to be a rising talent to watch. Hector Sifuentes gave an okay set and followed up with an interesting interview that, while not exceptional, kept the show’s momentum going. Conner Laughren, a six-year comedy veteran, delivered a hilarious minute and an engaging interview. His bold claim of being able to play the guitar led to an impromptu blues performance, singing about the Legion of Skanks. Conner impressed so much that Luis J. Gomez invited him to perform at Skankfest in Las Vegas and awarded him a large joke book. Andrew Packer, a seasoned Canadian comic with nine years of experience, absolutely killed with his set. He delivered joke after joke, each hitting hard with the audience. His fantastic interview led to a large joke book and a spot on The Secret Show, along with a quick open mic spot in front of Adam Egert. Jessica Misatano continued the streak of high-quality performances with a strong minute and a funny interview. She attempted to sing an Amy Winehouse song, and despite missing the mark musically, she still managed to make the segment amusing. William Montgomery Closes with a Bang Kill Tony Hall of Famer William Montgomery wrapped up the night with his usual chaos, delivering a heavy metal song that had the crowd fully engaged. His interview, as always, was eccentric and entertaining, making him the perfect closer for a jam-packed night of comedy. Special guest UFC fighter Dustin Poirier joined him on stage in a pre-rehearsed bit, adding a unique twist to the evening. Panel Highlights Big Jay Oakerson was the standout guest of the night, consistently funny and keeping the crowd engaged throughout the episode. Luis J. Gomez had some great moments, including offering Conner a Skankfest spot, but had a few misses as well. Dave Smith was noticeably quieter, contributing less than expected, yet the balance from the rest of the panel kept the episode lively. Final Thoughts This episode of Kill Tony delivered nonstop laughs, thanks to an exceptional panel and a strong lineup of bucket pulls. Tony Hinchcliffe was in top form, and Brian Redban’s quick wit and clever remarks kept things moving smoothly. With Big Jay Oakerson’s standout performance and a surprise appearance by Dustin Poirier, Episode #686 will be remembered as one of the funniest and most action-packed shows in recent Kill Tony history.
